It’s happening! Let’s grow your herbal community, deepen your herbal studies.
Details:
Duration: Runs from April 2025 through October 2025 (total 8 month long program)
Monthly Time Commitment: Time commitment involves: one 3 hr long hands-on workshop each month (held on Sundays) and one 2 hr long in-person group herbal study sessions (weeknight evening)
Location: Workshop locations are rotating. Some classes will be held outdoors and may necessitate access to a car (carpooling will be encouraged) and ability to walk on uneven trails/paths. In-person study sessions will be held in one location consistently, location is TBD.
Cost: Cost for this program is $300 monthly or a one-time payment of $2,200 before the start of the program (a $200 savings). Cost includes all materials for monthly workshops, as well as a printed curriculum binder, and a paperback copy of our program textbook: Body Into Balance: An Herbal Guide to Holistic Self-Care, by Maria Noel Groves. This cost also includes access to text and voice memo communications with your instructor. Want to ask me a question about the weird film on top of your infused oil? Send me a pic! Need help choosing an herb to put in a tea for your herb-wary partner? Let’s brainstorm!
Group: Six people will be admitted to this program. This will create an intimate learning environment where you can receive hands on help and ask those burning questions! This format also allows for students to create a close cohort who can help each other grow and deepen their herbal practice in community.
Instructor: Your main mentor will be Certified Clinical Herbalist and Herbal Educator Liz Faermark of Talk Wild Herbs. Liz will be periodically bringing in colleagues and friends from the front range herbalism community to co-teach on certain topics, and speak to the learning sensibilities and herbal philosophies of lots of different people!
Who is this Mentorship Program for?
Complete herbal newbies who are voracious learners and want to get a comprehensive and hands-on experience in the world of herbal medicine.
Herbal novices with some herbal knowledge and experience who learn better in person and in community. This is also for people who have already been through an online herbal training, and have read a lot of herb books, but who lack that real-life experience with the plants.
Folks who have been on their herbal journey for a while, but need a refresh on their herbal studies. Inject some inspiration into your already-budding practice!
For people who desire a balance between the science and the spirit of herbalism. We will focus our studies on both ends of this spectrum (as they are truly inextricable).
